Lord Newborough, Bar & Restaurant
Set between the beautiful countryside villages of Dolgarrog and Trefriw, in the Conwy Valley, the Lord Newborough bar and restaurant offers a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Whilst insisting on using only the freshest ingredients from local sources, our seasonal menus are always put together with careful thought and planning.
Under new ownership we have introduced a selection of new draught beers and ales. We also have an extensive wine list including wines from Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy and Spain. Whether you would like to stay for something to eat or just want to pop in for a drink, you will always receive a very warm welcome.
The stone built, nineteenth century building, formerly the hunting lodge of Lord Newborough, is able to host parties for up to 70 people. The Bar / Restaurant has five separate dining / entertaining areas, giving the place great flexibility when hosting private parties and events. Bookings are not always necessary for smaller parties but to avoid disappointment it is always best to call in advance.
Opening hours under new ownership are being reviewed, however at present lunches are being served between 12:00 and 15.00. Doors open to evening diners from 18.00 onwards. We are closed on Wednesdays but open all day on Saturdays.
